Although your life circumstances may not be ideal right now, you have a number of resources available to you as you take your first steps on this new journey. This question crosses many people’s minds at some point. It is hard to prepare for a new adventure that looks differently for each individual. Being a good parent is more than just providing your child with essential needs. Like any other challenge, it is good to start your preparation right away. We offer a variety of classes that range from emotional, financial and educational topics to help you plan ahead. Our Stepping Stones program will help you prepare with classes while earning supplies for your baby.
How will parenting affect my dating?
Dating as a single parent is an interesting and complex topic that single parents, at one time or another, face either with uneasiness or heartfelt joy. Set your standards high for the people you date and don’t settle. Can I still choose adoption later if parenting doesn’t work out?

What rights does my child’s father have?
Fathers have clearly established legal rights. If you decide to parent, he has a duty to support your child and has a right to visit his child (Bethany Christian Services).

The best decision is an informed decision. Knowing your options and what they will mean for you and your baby is the best way to decide what will be best for both of you. Getting information costs you nothing, but we can help you be assured that you have made an informed choice.
